Northern Manufacturing wants every visitor, including visitors who use assistive technology, to be able to read our capabilities, review our work, and request a quote without barriers.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time certification, and we treat it as part of how the site is built, not an add-on.
What We Do
- The site is built with semantic HTML, a logical heading structure, ARIA landmarks, and labeled form fields.
- Every page template is scanned with the axe-core accessibility engine (WCAG 2.1 A and AA rule sets) as part of our automated test suite, and a failing scan blocks the change from shipping.
- We test keyboard navigation, visible focus states, and color contrast, and we respect the reduced-motion preference in your operating system.
- Images carry alternative text, and form errors are announced to screen readers.
Known Limitations
Some content relies on third-party players (for example, embedded video). We work to provide captions and text alternatives for meaningful audio content, but the players themselves are outside our control. If a specific video or document is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information in another form.
